Nursing Student – I graduate in May!!! 👩⚕️👩🎓
I have always been an outdoor enthusiast and played sports all my life. Prior to coming to Farmgirlfit, I was at a time in my life where I lost touch with who I was and what I once loved. I was found re-creating myself and having to find that love again. I was searching for a like-minded community that could bring health, fitness and being a new mom together.
I didn’t know anybody when I walked through the Farmgirlfit doors, so I was certainly out of my comfort zone. I found familiarity in the environment which was comforting, but little did I know, in no time the women, the coaches and the grey/purple? walls became my biggest influence to come back for more!
My first accomplishment was finishing the Montana Spartan Race in 2016. That race was such a beast and I had never climbed a rope before. I practiced in the gym and come race day I was ready to whack that bell, and I did! Though the greatest accomplishment for me has been summiting Mt. Adams-12,280 ft. last May. I was defeated by this same climb in 2012ish, making it only ½ way up before turning back. Thinking back and comparing how my body felt climbing that mountain then to how it did last year is night and day. Not only has my physical strength improved but more significantly my emotional and mental state has as well.
My little guy is my biggest inspiration to be fit. He’s only 4 but someday he’s going to outrun me! If I start now maybe I’ll be able to keep up!
I guess I don’t have any specific health and fitness goals. I just want to feel strong and that will happen by showing up! I’d like to do some more mountaineering and improve my rock climbing skills.
Just turn it up loud so I can’t hear myself breathing! 🔊
Favorite: Tabatas! Least favorite: ROWING!
“I’m not dead, so keep going.”
The support from the coaches and the likeminded community.
Seeing women of all different ages show up to the gym each day is such an inspiration to me. Nobody is against you except yourself, and that flows over to life also. If you show up and put in the effort results will follow. Also, sometimes my legs are so sore I have a straight leg duck walk/limp kind of thing going on, soooo that looks weird in public. 😳 🙄 😆
I’m always looking for that next opportunity for an adventure! Currently, I am quite busy with nursing school and raising my little guy who is 4. He keeps me busy by just being him! You can find us hiking in the mountains, snowboarding, riding bikes, camping and having snacks!
In the mountains!
“There’s beer after”
Ice cream and beer. 🍨 🍻 NOT together. And I’m not even really sure I’m guilty about it! 🤷♀️
Of my little guy and the sweet adventurous soul he’s becoming!
My dad
Anyone that knows me, knows I love to dance! But those moves, though, you gotta see it to believe it!
COFFEE because, coffee!
Cold Brew coffee, a splash of almond milk, banana, 4 ice cubes, a scoop of SFH Coconut Protein and almond butter, blended up! Yum! 😋
As long as you show up, results will follow!
